Are you living every moment
or just making motion?
Do you enjoy every minute
or are you forever wishing,
fishing for something more?
Do you stop to smell the roses,
admire dandelions?
While you are on your way,
share a smile with one who scowls.
Do a little healing
as you travel down the road.
Take your foot off the gas
and coast awhile.
No need to ignore your destination,
though it’s not as important
as the path that takes you there.

Do you believe the grass is always greener
on the other side?
Is the sky any bluer
if you drive a Rolls?
Is the sunrise any brighter
if you’re wearing mink?
Can a sunset be more glorious
to a favored few?

Enjoy each and every hour.
Stoop to smell every flower.
Skip through piles of fallen leaves.
Let the wind caress your face.
Feel the sun warm upon you.
Allow the moon to light your night.

Life is but a journey,
going from here to there.
Let’s enjoy our inner child
and each other's--
