Nice, Bobbi! I've never seen any ATC's in person. What medium did you use and what kind of paper? I'm trying to figure out the basics of creating them. Collage for the Picasso? Are you trading or just making for them for fun?
These are both just lovely Bobbi! I love the colors here. I just love to look at this. I would like to hang it on the wall. (Oh! That's why they call it Art!) Are these the small cards people have talked about? I'll trade you for this one! I don't know WHAT I'd trade you since I don't have any Air Traffic Control to call my own. When you made this did you make a whole bunch alike? Or are they supposed to be one of a kind?
Hi you two! Winnie, nice to see you back.
I am really new to ATC's. Started reading up on them a couple of months ago and yes, I am trading them (I am in the middle of doing 18 for various swaps right now). I think they are mostly suppose to be one of a kind but I know you can do limited numbered "issues" of them as well as numbered series on a similar theme.
These ones are both collage. So far I have used all kinds of paper. Contruction, printer, wrapping, tissue, rice paper and napkins. The bases I cut out of cereal boxes and then covered both sides with paper. I am experimenting with covering some with spackle right now and then pressing a stamp into them when they are partially dry. I also want to paint some soon..but haven't gotten that brave yet.
Hopefully when I feel more comfortable with them I can try an Art Journal and an altered book.
hugs,
Bobbi
Hey Bobbi! I see you jumped right in with the ATC's! Can't wait to see all you've done. :)
The spackle sound like a good idea too.
