Lady Lotus - Presented by Leonie Bryant
I have come as The Lady Lotus and am dressed in a long flowing silky cloak of a blue-green shade. The inside of the cloak is covered in lotus flowers. The Lady Lotus lives at the bottom of the lake in the mirky, muddy waters deep down. She gradually rises up through those waters to the light. It is not until she breaks the surface and is bathed in the warm sunshine that she can unfold and show her true beauty to the world.
The poems here are written by Silent Lotus
The Portrait Of This Passage
As
The
New dawn
Dances silently
Upon the gardens
Of the dew doused
Morning lawn
It draws
With
Its
Light
The portrait
Of this passage
To which we are drawn
For it is loves celestial sight
The timeless wisdom
That is never
Worn
The lotus flower appeared in legends originating from ancient Eygpt. It played an important part in the Egyptian religion and was associated with the sun as it opens in the morning and closes at night.
Time To Blend
There
Always
Arrives
In all of
Our lives
A joyous
Moment of
Sweet silence
Which notifies
It is time to blend
Into the vast horizon
Of the palette painting a days end
And there we find again our gentle loving eyes
Waiting as these divine peaceful skies
Of the eternal sunrise that is just
Around the bend

I love Ancient Egypt - the hourglass figure is of great beauty - as is the vessel. The words speak of sweet promise, indeed. (Monika)
I loved your costume Leonie and your reading took my breath away.
Lovely!
These poems are so perfect, in form and sound - tyhe little bottle must be made of crystal, it sparkles so.
I could feel my heart unfolding like the petals of the lotus as I read this piece. Thank you.
