Cat Surprise
SUDDEN TEARS
My broken back those long years ago
Brought gritted teeth but silent eyes.
When my world tumbled down -- down,
My churning heart left all of me dry.
This morning, when my frolicking cat
Selected only the most splendid leaf
And brought it to my surprised hand,
The tears in my eyes were also a gift.

How wonderful this is? How powerful yet very gentle. I can identify with this, and also know when I have been upset, for some reason cats just know, and it can crack you from the inside. They just have this way about them....I can't even find the words to say it, maybe Vi can.
