There are many surprising things tucked into the Abbeys nooks and crannies. :-)
Your stitching is amazing. My mouth is wide open and my eyes look in wonder. It is surprises such as this which I have come to love.
I have little stone gargoyles hidden in my herb garden. Unless you know where to look you won't see them..but they see you.
That's what this picture reminded me of...so, I got it! It's great.
