Writing
In my sacred room I write,
Each mandate from within like living water
And ne're do I neglect a thought or image
Or ne're do I ignore an utterance
For though it may not fit the present puzzle
Who knows what fate this story soon will make?
Not even I, the author.

The Impulse
"A poet stands between heaven and earth
and watches the dark mystery
To nourish myself I read the classic.."
and the words of the live poets here in at Soul Food who are mandated not to neglect a thought, an image, an utterance.
The quote is from The Art of Writing, Teachings of the Chinese Masters.
