Intuition as alchemy

Why would you think it somewhat phenomenal,
or existential or perhaps ethereal,
to be able to do profound things without conscious thought?

Why do you place faith in artificial constructs
like formal logic, decalogues and mantras,
when you could simply to act on intuition?

In this modern age when it is found fashionable
to extend the mind to multiple personalities,
why is it unseemly to rely on instinct?

While man can play endlessly constructing Gods
who give them clues and permissions to their liking,
why can't you trust that your ancestors got it right?

Your mind and soul learns by doing and observing,
creating little practiced songs and verses to recall,
so that when the music stops you can continue.

When you place your thinking in pretty little boxes
all tied up with ribbons of another's teaching,
then you are choosing silence when things don't quite fit.

It is proven that an 'educated' person,
when faced with decision in complexity,
simple stops, and makes no selection at all!

But when one is filled with practical wisdom,
instilled through natural instrumental learning,
then one can intuitively get on with it!

Your incredible mind, you see, when not abused,
can create a symphony from the little songs,
and with a little magic make two and two are six.

So do not complain if your mind goes blank or dim
and you get it all wrong or miss the boat again,
when you could have just listened to your nether self.

This sounds too easy and lacking in fine structure
or just excusing lack of accountability? --
close your eyes, touch your nose, and tell me how it's done.

I am all for looking within and listening to the nether self faucon.
"Purge the horrible darkness of our mind, light a light for our senses' and open the empty house to new inhabitants. Better to seek through knowledge than to find through faith.

I ONCE HAD A TEACHER WHO USE TO TELL US SOMETHING SIMILIAR TO THIS...ONLY HE SAID, " Your ideas, you answers are as good, as valid as the next person's. So speak up."

That's what this passage says to me...don't be afraid to step out and away.

The book "Blink!" substantiates this and contains many fascinating examples.

We need to trust our judgment especially when we can't explain how the decision came about.
Less is more.
