A few tentative words...
Self-portrait, pencil sketch
For some, words flow—
a rushing brook—refreshing, sparkling.
Mine, not so—mostly quiet, gentle,
softly telling stories of my inner self.
No great joys here,
but humble contemplations.
Time has allowed me to smile again,
though timid and hesitant.
At times I catch myself laughing
from deep within—I am both
surprised and pleased.
