and next again ...

Ever Hawk

The peak is unknown, but there is none more
jagged desolate forlorn.
Whether it even exists
today? forenever? absotively?
is hidden in the swirls of tomorrow's lore.
See the man-thing cold chain secure;
writhing form screams unheard entrails torn.
Feel the timeless curse enthrall;
day never end night never found peace but a dream.
Hear the descending shriek of fear;
rending flesh pulsing blood never die.
Ever-cycled bond of feather and claw
suffer he suffer she tragic share.
Saved at last by Herculean might;
gods defy mankind secure soul brand.

You all know the story --
the myth is known now to end;
but what of the hawk?

Where is she now?

How wonderful this is. Apocalyptic, painful and excellent. A wise Indian guru recently instructed humanity thus: "Peace is your very nature - it cannot go away from you." (Monika)

She is riding the wind currents with a raven as a companion? Not surprisingly, given his gift of the creative fire which burns brightly within, I am passionate about Prometheus.

Whenever I think of Prometheus I am always reminded of Beethoven, his music and his Immortal Beloved, and always wished he had found her, always, always. And then he brought so much greatness, his fire, to the world, great peace, in spite of it all. Sacred space.
