Phoenix Song 11 by Lisa Phoenix

I Name as Invocation

shapeshifter; dappled
daughter of ash, luminous
sister of fire; story-

stalker, wordtwirler
tumbling from a nightshade sky:
star-hearted poet

II Name as Promise

unpaid bills,coffee
cups, appointments, flat tires...
at the grocery

choice of vegetables
for a cheap month's-end supper:
voluptous bell

peppers glow like lamps;
bloodveined curly chard, white carrots -
ordinary grace

I just loved the "ordinary grace" - and "peppers glow like lamps". (Monika)

It is the multiple shapes that caught my attention. Stalker, worldtwirler. I can see words twirling around you.
