A Grain of Sand
One ponders many things while strolling through the gardens here at the Abbey. This is my latest mind wandering adventure.
A Grain of Sand
A grain of sand is
a wondrous thing.
Once a pebble,
once a rock,
once a mountain.
Worn by time,
by rain, frost, and wind.
Worn by water's passage.
Now a tiny grain.
No less a thing of beauty.
No less important in the scheme of things.
A grain of sand is
a wondrous thing.

So simple. So profound. So beautiful. So Vi.
Hi Vi.
Just looking through the archives and I found your lovely poem. My signature line is "searching for a world in a grain of sand," so you can imagine how much I enjoyed it. Nice to be here among so many kindred spirits. :-)
