Baby Lilacs

Spring is approaching
in the southern
hemisphere -
baby lilacs
are stirring beneath
the green cover,
in the beautiful dark earth,
wondering
how and when
they will best bloom out,
they wait and
dream,
following the signs
and beat of nature.
The dream of
them, the wild
scent, is
our anticipation.

Beautiful, Monika, a poem full of promise. And although spring has passed here in the Northern Hemispere, we remember the promise and the delight at seeing that first bloom.

All seasons have their time and they are fleeting, but as part of the Great Circle, they will return and we will again delight in the gifts they bring.

This is indeed a poem filled with promise. I watch the buds shooting bravely through the cold ground and sense the greening all the way around.
