Four Abbey Rules

Four Abbey Rules

1. Follow Nature

2. First know, then act. Real knowledge exists in the triangle composed of seeing, feeling and understanding.

3. Use only one vessel, one fire, one instrument. The person who takes the chosen path may succeed, while the person who attempts to walk on many paths will be delayed.

4. Keep the fires burning constantly

Good advice, Heather, and a fantastic image. Your art is becoming more sophisticated day by day.

Oh, wait, I have it-- keep the green-eyed monster of jealousy and envy caged up?

I loved the rules, which are from some alchemy fundamentals. Indeed, I am looking at things like distellation and so on. Might have to have a distillery at the Abbey next.

Thanks so much for the praise everyone and I am encouraged by your words Vi. I still feel I have a long way to go but I am following the rules as listed here and drawing for at least three hours every day.

Will have to look in to having a poster with the words on it Melody. That will be a challenge.

Oh and, Lori, the green chick is the caged artist. The other chicks are working on freeing her. But I do like your interpretation too.

don't spoil all my fun Anita Marie. Chasing you down the corridors with a broom sounds like good Ozzie sport.
